DATA PRIVACY STATEMENT FOR THE LAKE NEUSIEDL CARD (“LNC”)

Which data are processed and where do these data come from?

When you registered for the LNC (in print or digital form), you provided us with the following personal data: first name and surname, postal address (street, number, postal code, city, country), e-mail address, profession, signature, date of birth, length of stay (arrival/departure), nationality, gender and the accommodation you are staying at. In addition, the following personal data are processed when using the Lake Neusiedl Card: usage cycle of the card, use of services and benefits, bookings, transaction logging, billing data, reference to the registration data and to the accommodation provider. These data are required by the service partner to establish your identity and to determine the validity period of the guest card, as well as to allow for the settlement of discounts granted between service partners, Neusiedler See Tourismus GmbH ("NTG") and, if applicable, the accommodation.

For which purposes and on which legal basis are the data processed?

The legal basis for the processing of data for the purpose of registration and handling of the LNC is your consent (Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You may withdraw any consent given at any time with future effect by sending an e-mail to info@neusiedlersee.com or by postal mail to Neusiedler See Tourismus GmbH, Obere Hauptstrasse 24, 7100 Neusiedl am See.

Who receives my data?

In the context of the LNC, the following recipients will have access to your personal data: NTG employees, Feratel media technologies AG, public issuing offices (e.g. tourist boards and inns and restaurants in the Lake Neusiedl region), service partners (e.g. museums, castles), accommodation providers, public-law auditing bodies (e.g. Court of Audit), external data protection officers and legal counsellors, as well as Sports & Tourism Digital Service GmbH if you have signed up for our newsletter.

For how long are my data stored?

Personal data processed for the LNC will be stored in any case until your withdrawal of consent, otherwise deleted or anonymised after 48 months from registration for the LNC. If you have explicitly registered for subscription to our newsletter (Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR), we will store your personal data until you have unsubscribed. Personal data which we process according to Article 6 (1)(f) GDPR to send you our newsletter will be processed for this purpose as long as you do not object, but no longer than up to 36 months after the last contact.

Will I be receiving electronic advertisings from NTG in the future?

Subject to your separate consent, we will also send you electronic mail (e.g. newsletter) to the e-mail address you have provided us with, in which we will inform you about current promotions and offers in the Lake Neusiedl region (section 107 para 2 Telecom Act (TKG) in conjunction with Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You may withdraw any consent given at any time with future effect in writing, by sending an e-mail to info@neusiedlersee.com or by postal mail to Neusiedler See Tourismus GmbH, Obere Hauptstrasse 24, 7100 Neusiedl am See.

What are my rights?

As a data subject, the GDPR grants you the following rights: right of access, right to rectification, right to erasure, right to restriction of data processing, right to data portability, right to object and right to withdrawal of consent. Right to lodge a complaint: If we process your data unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority.

Who is the controller responsible for data processing and whom can I contact?

The Lake Neusiedl Card is administered jointly (within the meaning of Article 26 GDPR) by NTG and partner businesses. For that purpose, an agreement on joint data processing according to Article 26 GDPR regarding "Lake Neusiedl Card" data processing has been concluded. We can send you this agreement on request. Responsibility for the exercise of the rights of data subjects as well as for the information obligations within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act lies with:

Accommodation providers are accommodations in the Lake Neusiedl region. Service, bonus & super bonus partner businesses are establishments in the region that offer free services, bonus services or discounts to holders of the Lake Neusiedl Card.
