"Kittsee" apricot

About 30,000 apricot trees grow in Kittsee, which carry about 700,000 kg of quality apricots annually. Kittsee apricots owe their exceptionally fruity aroma to the Pannonian climate with very hot summers and the special soil conditions. The main variety "Hungarian Best" is excellent for jams and also for distilling schnapps. In addition, the tasty and healthy fruits of our "Genussregion" (region of pleasure) are processed into apricot dumplings, cakes, strudels, apricot vinegar distillates and apricot nectar.
